September Favorites

I am so excited to do my first favorites post! These are the products I loved this month and totally recommend!

SKIN CARE

St. Ives Naturally Clear Apricot Scrub and Green Tea Cleanser
Oh my goodness I love these two face products! I have really seen an improvement in my overall skin health as far as blemishes. I also suffer from blotchy red skin and I feel like this face wash has helped reduce that as well. I definitely recommend these face products!

BODY

Skintimate Shave Gel in Strawberry Tangerine
Healing Waters body lotion in Coconut Lime
Dr. Scholl's For Her Ultra Overnight Foot Cream
Shave Gel: Everyone knows this brand works, it's not so much the product that I have suddenly discovered or something, it's the scent that I am totally loving. It's so sweet and tangy. I love it!
Body Lotion: This lotion has also become a favorite because of the scent! This coconut lime is so delicious and it really lingers on my skin.
Foot Lotion: This stuff I actually love for something other than it's scent. It works wonders on my dry feet. It makes my feet so soft and moisturized. Right before bed I put it on and then sleep with socks on and in the morning my feet are so soft! I am definitely going to keep using this lotion.

HAIR

Garnier Fructis Wonder Waves wave-enhancing spray and Leave-In conditioning cream
I have talked before about how I love loose beachy waves as my go-to hair style and this wonder waves spray is how I have been achieving it this month. This spray keeps my hair from looking frizzy and holds my waves all day. I am so glad I got this leave-in conditioner, it has made my hair so much softer

NAILS

NYC Long Wearing in Skin Tight Denim, Wet n Wild Wild Shine in Sparkled, L.A. Color Craze in Purple
I love this deep navy blue, I think it's gorgeous and it only takes 1 coat to get the color from the bottle! I loooove these pink sparkles. My sister actually did a mani with E.L.F. nail polish in Chocolate and then this on top and it was sooo pretty. The brown and pink looked really good together! And I lovelovelove this purple nail polish by L.A. Colors. It's a cream polish and again it's a shade you only need 1 coat and you are getting the pigmentation from the bottle... maybe that's what I was loving this month, just polishes I don't need 3 or 4 coats before I'm done.

MAKEUP

E.L.F. Studio Bronzer in Golden, N.Y.C. Smooth Skin bronzing face powder in Sunny
I stopped wearing bronzer towards the end of September, I don't know why, I have preferred the look of my makeup without it I guess. But before I stopped using it, I was using my N.Y.C. bronzer every single day and I loved it! (I still love the product.) I also use my E.L.F. bronzing palette everyday. It's too light and too shimmery to actually be a bronzer, but it's an amazing highlight. I love using it as a highlight!

Wet n Wild Ultimate Expressions palette in Sand Castle, Wet n Wild Coloricon eyeshadow trio in Don't Steal My Thunder, Wet n Wild Coloricon eyeshadow single in Penny, and N.Y.C. Color Wheel mosaic eye powder in Purple Rain
There is a reason 3 of my 4 September favorite eyeshadows are Wet n Wild, the quality is amazing! For a drugstore shadow, you really cannot get any better than Wet n Wild. They come in so many colors, matte and shimmer. They are so soft, blendable, and pigmented. My huge Ultimate Expressions palette was only $3.99, that's how much a CoverGirl single costs, and these are so much better. If you have never tried a Wet n Wild shadow before you are really missing out. Even if you just buy a single eyeshadow, I know you will fall in love! Try them!! Oh right and there is a N.Y.C. in there, only because it's purple, and I love purple on my eyes lately! The shadow is decent, I make it work because it's purple.

e.l.f. Mineral Eyeshadow Primer, e.l.f.Wet Gloss Lash&Brow clear mascara, e.l.f. Eyeliner&Shadow Stick in Plum&Purple, e.l.f. Waterproof Eyeliner pen in Plum, Rimmel Lycra Lash Extender in Black, CoverGirl LashBlast Volume in Very Black
So I don't think I really need to talk about the primer anymore lol other than to say if you have a hard time getting your eyeshadow to stay on all day and you aren't wearing a primer, that right there is your problem. You need a primer!!
I love my clear brow gel. I don't use it for my lashes, but it works wonders on my crazy brows. They stay put all day!
I love my liner/shadow stick!! (and not just because it's purple, but let's be honest it's a major factor!) The eyeliner is great and stays all day on my lid. I haven't tried it on my bottom lash line which is where I experience running and smudging with eyeliner, but for the top it's great!
I love my eyeliner pens, even if this one doesn't show up purple. Once I put them on, they don't budge until I take them off and it's wonderful!
My HG mascara duo, the Rimmel lengths and the CoverGirl separates. I love the look of my mascara after I use these two!

Revlon Super Lustrous lipstick pearl in Silver City Pink, e.l.f. Mineral lipstick in Rosy Raisin, N.Y.C. Liquid Lip Shine in Pink Sand, e.l.f. Mineral Lip gloss in Pageant Princess
This Revlon lipstick is a really light frosty pink. I don't normally like frosty lipstick but this lipstick layered with my N.Y.C. gloss in pink sand is the perfect shimmery pink when I have a really strong smokey eye.
Rosy Raisin is the exact shade of my lips so I always know I can put this on when I am getting ready in a hurry but I want to wear lipstick, this always looks fabulous. It just amplifies the color of my lips and makes my look a little more polished than if I were to throw on a gloss.
This mineral gloss is what I have been keeping in my pocket to touch up throughout the day. It's a nice smooth shimmery pink and it's perfect for everyday wear.

(I forget to put this in with my other eyeshadows when I took the picture)
Mary Kay Velocity Eye powder in Gold
I have had this tiny little thing for like 6 years. I got it when I was a freshman in high school for helping my aunt, who sells Mary Kay, grade papers while I was at her house. I can still remember watching Joan of Arcadia and grading papers and then she gave me this, haha good time. ANYWAYS, I go through periods where I use this everyday and then I don't use it again for like a year. September was month where I used it religiously. I dab the tiniest amount into my inner corner after I have finished the rest of my eyeshadow and it brightens up my eye a ton. It's a loose white powder with tons of gold shimmers. It's so pretty and I'm sad it's almost gone.

Revlon Golden Affair blush in rose rapture and e.l.f Natural Radiance Blusher in Flushed
So somehow I had my seasons mixed up as far as blush goes because for the first part of the month I was using the Revlon blush which is a much deeper rosey red and for the last part of the month I was using my e.l.f. blush which is a bright summery pink... Revlon is definitely more of a fall blush and e.l.f. is definitely a summer blush. Not that it really matters what time of year I wear which blush, I just found it amusing. I love both of these blushes though, I think they are fantastic!
