Planner Haul & Accessories (New planner, stickers, washi, & post-its!)

Last year I bought my first planner since high school. I went on this school supply kick (possibly an early mid twenties crisis...lol) and one of the things I bought was a planner that went off the academic calendar (July - June). These past few months I really started relying on that planner to organize my week and remember important tasks I needed to get done. So you can imagine my dismay this month realizing my planner was about to run out!

I have watched a lot of videos on YouTube, read blogs, and looked through photos on Instagram of different planners and while I would love to invest in one of the popular and beautiful Erin Condren, Kikki K, or Filofax planners I don't want to do it without knowing 100% I'd be using it to its fullest potential. So in the meantime I started searching on Google for something new.

My top three requirements were that it be affordable, plain (which equals easy to decorate), and roomy enough for daily notes and lists without being bulky. My searches brought my to MochiThings where I discovered....

The "Beautiful Flower Scheduler" in Mint -- $22.95

I'm so excited to start decorating this planner each week any way I want. Stickers, washi, colored pens, color blocking, post it, flags... whatever I want. I love how plain it is. I love it! Something interesting to me was that aside from the yearly calendar in the front this planner has no dates in it. The idea behind that being it can be used any week, any month, of any year. If I stop using it for a week I can pick up the next week because I write in the dates! Whatever dates I want! Now I don't plan on not using it for a week or a month but the lack of dates is something to consider when purchasing this planner.

Some things I liked about this planner is the large section each week for lists, notes, post-its & the several lined pages at the very back. Oh, and of course the beautiful cover! I think the mint color and floral pattern is so pretty!

Also from MochiThings I found these affordable stickers...

Rainbow Sticker v3 -- $1.95

The first sheet is star stickers, the center sheet is talking bubbles, and the final sheet is squares. I love the colors and that the stickers are slightly sheer.

Here is how I used one of the star stickers in my planner...

And one of the conversation bubbles...

I took one of the square stickers & placed it on an adhesive tab...

I definitely recommend checking out MochiThings. They have a lot of cute, unique, and affordable products!

Next I visited Staples website in search of these popular labels...

Martha Stewart Home Office™ with Avery™ Removable Color-Coding Labels -- $4.59

I see these things EVERYWHERE and I finally decided to pick them up. I love the shape, colors, and that they are removable!

Browsing their site I discovered...

Redi-Tag® Easy-To-Read Self-Stick Index Tabs, White -- $2.59

I thought these would be perfect for many things but the first that came to mind was my planner! I thought they were a great value and I liked how versatile they are being white.

BIC® Intensity Permanent Pens, Fine Point, Assorted Fashion Colors --- $7.29

I'd never heard of these pens before but they are exactly what I've been looking for. A fine point marker-type pen that won't bleed through paper!

The last item I picked up is another from the Martha Stewart line (which I want one of everything from)...

Martha Stewart Home Office™ with Avery™ Dry Erase Decal, Gray Border, Flourish --- $4.99

How cute is this!? & affordable! I have found in using it that it does not dry erase well. I could still see a shadow of the writing but a lightly dampened paper towel works like a dream!

The last items I have to show you are from my local WalMart.

I picked up several Post-it brand products.

Full Adhesive 2 in x 2 in sticky notes

I already have these in a larger size and I love them so much. The full adhesive sticky notes are so wonderful!

Post-it sticky Flags

Post-it Page Markers

I love picking up stickers from WalMart. I purchase the $1.00 sheets from the Sticko brand.

The last few items I have to show you are some rolls of washi tape I ordered through Jane.com for $1.89 each!

I have a little bit of a washi addiction... so I'm going to stop buying washi... for a long time lol. I don't know how well I'll be able to stick to that! :)

That's everything I picked up this time around. I hope you enjoyed seeing these items. I can't wait to starting using my new planner and I'll definitely show you as I'm using it and decorating it each week!

June 2014 Ipsy bag -- Pretty In Paradise

I just received my Ipsy subscription bag for June and can't wait to show you what came in my bag. It was definitely a great month to be an Ipsy subscriber!

Take a look...

Full size Ofra Universal Eyebrow pencil -- Retail $13.00

"Water resistant pencil suitable for the most sensitive eye area. It is the perfect solution for your eyebrows and is called Universal Eyebrow Pencil for a reason as it is one color to suit all skin tones."

I don't know if this is going to match my brows. It seems a little too dark but I am willing to give it a try. The retail price of this alone costs more than the whole bag!

Realtree for her perfume -- Retail $24.99 for 3.4 oz

"Realtree for Her opens up with the sweet taste of pomegranate, a hint of persimmon and an exotic scent of orchids. It blends with lotus blossom and champaca flower and it’s followed by the rich scent of amber, the transient scent of violets and the depth of mahogany wood."

This smells very nice. I was disappointed to find that mine had started leaking but was grateful it shipped in a plastic bag to keep it from leaking onto everything else in the bag. I'm impressed that the full size price is so affordable. I might actually consider purchasing a full size!

full size NYX Butter Gloss in Creme Brulee -- Retail $5.00

"Buttery soft and silky smooth, our scrumptious new Butter Lip Gloss tastes as sweet as a sugar cookie—and makes your lips look downright luscious. Swipe it on alone or over your favorite lipstick for creamy sheer to medium coverage that melts onto your lips and is never sticky."

I was thrilled to find this in my bag this month! The color is so pretty and they aren't kidding when they say it melts on your lips and is never sticky. It really does feel amazing on my lips!

1.5 oz Marc Anthony Dream Waves Beach Spray -- Retail $8.99 (full size 4.2 oz)

"Strictly Curls Beach Spray texturizes, boosts waves, adds body and volume, protects hair from the sun and creates a tousled finish. Hydrolyzed Silk and Provitamin B5 protects hair as it hydrates and leaves a shine."

I'm always excited to try a new beach spray and this is one I have heard of but never used. I love the travel friendly size and that it smells like sweet coconut!

full size Be A... Bombshell Lash Out black mascara -- Retail $15.00

"A rich pigmented mascara with a lengthening formula that offers a multidimensional look."

I have been quite pleased with the various products from this brand that I have received in my Ipsy bags every few months and I hope this mascara will be no different. I was happy to see that it looks like a wetter formula and the brush has fiber bristles (as opposed to the plastic bristled wands).

Here is a swatch of the lip gloss and the eyebrow pencil...

As always I am loving my Ipsy subscription. The bag this month is so fun (and apparently designed by Rebecca Minkoff!?). I only paid $10.00 for this bag and think it was well worth the month! I don't know how much the sample size of perfume was but the other 4 products alone are worth $36.00! Plus I got the cute bag!

I hope you enjoyed seeing what came in my bag this month.

Thanks for stopping by!

My Bath & Body Works collection!

Since Bath & Body Works is having their Semi-Annual Sale right now I thought it would be the perfect time to share my current collection of Bath & Body Works products. I made an online order yesterday of some items from their sale and will post that haul when the items arrive but as for now....

Here is my Bath & Body Works collection!

{Candles}

Watermelon Lemonade & Cinnamon Sugared Doughnut
These are two of my all time favorite candles. I absolutely completely recommend picking these up if your B&BW has them on sale! You also might be able to find them online.

WL: "Quench your thirst for long, summer days with this refreshing mixture of watermelon ice, sparkling water and freshly squeezed Meyer lemons"
CSD: "Share the delight of a freshly-baked vanilla cake doughnut covered in sugar crystals and crushed cinnamon"

Salty Caramel, Cranberry Pear Bellini, Lemon Mint Leaf

These are all favorite candles. Salty Caramel is very sweet dessert-like. Cranberry Pear Bellini is fruity and Lemon Mint Leaf is a very crisp clean lemon scent.

SC: "Sweet cream and caramel sprinkled with glazed pecans."
CPB: "Bubbly and delicious - a bright blend of sparkling cranberry, sweet pear nectar and luscious blackcurrant."
LML: "Freshly cut lemon balm and spearmint leaves give a refreshing lift to a blend of vetiver and citrus."

Market Peach, Leaves, Champagne Toast

These are candles that I've already burned but I'm not currently using and have stored in my collection until I feel like burning them again.

MP: "Fresh from the stand peaches strike a juicy note in a blend of vanilla featuring hints of citrus and raspberry."
L: "A fragrance that embodies the richness of fall - with all of its colors and pleasures -featuring notes of golden nectar, ripe delicious apple and red berries."
CT: "Pop, clink and sparkle with an effervescent blend of Champagne, juicy nectarine and blackcurrant."

{Wallflowers}

Island Margarita & Coconut Leaves

These are both repurchases that I absolutely recommend, especially for summer time. They smell amazing.

IM: "The scent of a classic poolside cocktail - notes of mandarin, sweet mango and plum with a freshly salted rim"
CL: "Be transported to the tropics with this fusion of juicy tangerine and papaya that gives way to soothing coconut notes"

Watermelon Lemonade & Lemon Verbena

You already I love Watermelon Lemonade so it only made sense to pick it up in wallflower form. Lemon Verbena was a new purchase for me. I can't wait to start using it.

WL: "Quench your thirst for long, summer days with this refreshing mixture of watermelon ice, sparkling water and freshly squeezed Meyer lemons"
LV: "The luscious lemon scent of the plant that grows on country roads in Provence inspired a sunny blend of verbena blossoms and lily of the valley leaves"

Lemon Mint Leaf

This is my husband's favorite scent. It is equal parts fresh and lemony and it smells very clean. It has a really strong scent so I wouldn't recommend this for small spaces but it is long lasting and very refreshing. (I especially like placing it next to the litter box!)

"Freshly cut lemon balm and spearmint leaves give a refreshing lift to a blend of vetiver and citrus."

Bloom

This is new, I've never purchased it before but I couldn't resist the description!

"Enjoy the newest spring blooms with this fresh floral blend of peonies, lily of the valley and a hint of dewy pear."

{Soaps}

Iced Gingerbread, Winter Candy Apply, Winter, & Vanilla Bean Noel

I have quite a few holiday scents from last year that I can't wait to use this year.

Sicilian Lemon & Cranberry Tangerine

I love Sicilian Lemon. It is the perfect lemon scent. It is very refreshing without smelling at all like cleaner. Cranberry Tangerine is a new one for me but just the name sounds amazing!

Peach Bellini

A huge favorite. I have had the candle, wallflower, and several soaps. I bought several during the last semi-annual sale. This is just the perfect sparkling peach scent. Makes me so happy to wash my hands! I know they have this in the sale right now! I highly recommend it!

{Lotion}

Pure Paradise, Beautiful Day, Country Chic, White Citrus, & Pink Chiffon

PP: "Top: Fresh Star Fruit, Juicy Guava, Dewy Cassis Mid: Luscious Gardenia, Frangipani, Watery Lily Dry: White Musk, Blond Woods, Sun-kissed Coconut"
BD: "Top: Sunkissed Apple, Dewy Pear, Sparkling Cassis Mid: Wild Daisies, Lily of the Valley, Fresh Pink Peony Dry: White Peach, Blonde Woods, Creamy Musk"
WC: "Inspired by the sun-drenched citrus groves of the Mediterranean coast, White Citrus is an invigorating blend of crisp citrus & water lily"
PC: "This light-as-air pairing of soft pink petals & vanilla chiffon icing expresses the flirty femininity of feeling pretty in pink"

Pink Grapefruit

This is my absolute favorite scent from their lines of body care. I don't think they make it anymore which makes me so sad! I wanted to include it anyways because their body creams are amazing so even though they don't have this scent I still recommend this line of lotions.

"This seductively tangy fragrance blends fresh pink grapefruit with sweet valencia orange, mouth-watering clementine, white woods and soft musk."

{Body Spray}

Malibu Heat & Wild Honeysuckle

Malibu Heat is a really nice perfume! I totally recommend it. I think it is very versatile because it is sweet and musky and it wears very nicely. Wild Honeysuckle is a light fresh scent!

MH: "Inspired by hot pink sunsets and 27 miles of beautiful beaches, Malibu Heat is the perfect west coast blend of juicy pineapple, California oranges and creamy coconut milk"
WH: "An alluring blend of bright flowers dancing in spring rain"

{Anti-Bacterial Hand Gel}

Fresh Honeydew Lemonade, Orange Creamsicle Swirl, Pink Vanilla Macaron, Sugar Berry Shortcake, Paris Amour, Sweet Cinnamon Pumpkin

I don't think I've ever been disappointed with a hand sanitizer from B&BW. All of the scents are nice and the product itself is fantastic. Leaves my hands feeling soft and clean. (Plus, they are a great price. On sale and with a coupon code these were $0.75 each!!)

~~~~
I have a few lotions and pocketbacs in my desk at work as well as a few candles & wallflowers around the house that I'm currently using but otherwise that's everything in my Bath & Body Works collection. I love their products and couldn't recommend them enough. Now is the best time to check out some new scents or products you've never used before since their Semi-Annual Sale is going on now online and instores!
The coupon code they are advertising right now is for $10.00 off a purchase of $40.00. (code: THEBIGSALE) but if you don't want to spend that much you can also use code: GARDEN14 for 20% off any order!
Don't forget to check back in the next week or two for my haul from the Semi-Annual Sale!
xoxo
