HauteLook Haul #3: Senna Cosmetics, Pharmacopia, Pixi

I've become quite attached to HauteLook. Since shopping on there my desire to spend so much on e.l.f. or the cheapie drugstore makeup has gone down, which I really think is saving me money. I think I burnt myself out on the same old products and brands that now my makeup hunger is to try new brands. Interesting how the makeup obsession of mine works, it started with wanting quantity when it came to my purchases. Now my mood is changing to quality and variety. I like it :)
So with order number three from the website (offering a variety of higher end products at discounted prices) I purchased from 3 different brands. The way their shipping works is that each brand you purchase from ships in its own box. I got a package on Monday, Tuesday, and Friday. It was kind of fun having a week of packages but at the same time, it was such a waste of materials to ship them all like this, and I don't think my landlord (who lives upstairs and receives all the mail) was too thrilled about playing delivery boy all week bringing my packages. Plus he probably thought I'm some crazy online shopaholic (which I'm not, right? ....Right?!!)

Onto the loot...

Senna Sheer Face Color in Desiree'
I have never heard of this brand before so I decided to only try one thing. The packaging is nice and I like that you can see the color of the blush through the frosted lid. The blush itself is rather small, I was expecting more product. As you can see from the swatch, the color comes off quite rosy peach while in the pan it look bright pink. Worth $6.50? TBD.

Pharmacopia Jasmine and Clary Sage Hand Cream
I bought this simply to try a new brand, the cute packaging, and the low price of $2.45. I had absolutely no clue what clary sage or jasmine smelled like. Had I known... I doubt I would have bought this. It's not necessarily a bad smell... but it's odd, a little different, and not what I was expecting. The formula of the lotion itself is very nice and moisturizing but it isn't too thick or greasy.

Aside from the scent, I'm having an issue with the lid. After I have opened the lid and used the product I absentmindedly close the lid, hear the click of it shutting, and put it down. Later when I pick it up again I see this...
Left: It's not closed   Right: What it should look like
I realize this is a small issue but I don't want to use this, think it has closed, toss it in my purse, and then have lotion all over everything. I will just have to be conscious of the lid after each use.

Pixi by Petra (Who is Petra?!) Rose Lip Treat in No. 1 Lip Nude
I misunderstood the color of this product. I was thinking it was some shade of rosy... from the swatch above you can see it's a sheer brown. I've never worn anything brown on my lips before. Before we get to the pictures of the product on my lips, I will say the packaging is awesome. It's so pretty and dainty but I love the thick sturdy plastic. It almost feels like opening one of the pens that comes in a day planner. I don't know how to describe it but I really like it.

Okay, just how brown is this stuff...

It's not too bad if you ask me. I still prefer a pink but this color is still rather nice. The formula is very smooth, glossy, and moisturizing. At $4.99 I'm very happy with this tinted lip balm.

and the big kahuna
Pixi Essentials set, $11.50

The cute wristlet that came with the set

The makeup goodies (which I think are all minis except the eyeshadow)

Pixi Flawless & Poreless primer

Pixi Eye Bright primer

Pixi Endless Silky Eye Pen
Left: Barely touched the pencil to my skin       Right: rubbed the product vigorously
First off, I mean it when I say I barely touched the eyeliner to my skin. It's so pigmented! I think it's the most jet black pencil eyeliner I have ever used, I love it. After rubbing the eyeliner (which I assumed would smudge away to nothing as pencil liners tend to do) it faded some but didn't smudge at all. (Sorry for the glitter, that's from eyeshadow on my finger I had been swatching and didn't mean to use that finger.) I will have you know that faded swatched stayed on my arm all night and took some effort with eye makeup remover to make it come off. I can still see it on my arm the next morning.
Overall, I'm so excited to use this on my eyes. If it wears on my eyes like it swatched this might become my favorite eyeliner.

Pixi Fairy Light Solo in No. 2 Champagne Glow
The packaging of this eyeshadow is really cute. I like the light mint green of everything in this set. This shadow is really nice as well. The powder is very smooth and soft, not chalky at all. Doesn't seem like I will have any fallout to deal with when using this.

As you can see, it swatches totally shimmery and bright. I love it. This is going to be such an awesome highlight for the browbone and inner corner.

Well these are all the goodies I got with this order. I have been checking Hautelook daily for the sales going on but haven't been inclined to purchase anything. Even the Urban Decay sale didn't tempt me. I recommend checking out this site. They sell everything from beauty, to clothing, housewares, items for men, women, and children. You have to make an account to access the site but it's free and totally easy.

Before I go, I just wanted to share a picture of my ever present little helper.
I was trying to take a picture and didn't realize she was sneaking up to get in on the action...

She's is cute and curious.
