I wanted  to show a close up on this because I was having a hard time capturing what it really looks like. The swatch above is too dark and doesn't showcase the blue shimmer in it. However, I will admit it doesn't show up as entirely bright as does below.

I'm a little disappointed in Trendy... It's not very pigmented and a little grainy.

I am obsessed with these cream eyeshadows. I have never used anything so smooth! They almost feel like a liquid on my finger.

These were surprisingly more matte than I anticipated, though they aren't totally matte.

e.l.f. Studio Conditioning Lip Balm in Mellow Melon

e.l.f. Mineral Lip Gloss in Trendsetter

e.l.f. Mineral Lipstick in Party Pink

I am so impressed with how smooth and nicely pigmented the Studio lip balm is.

As always, I love the Mineral Glosses and Lipsticks. Trendsetter is a nice sheer rusty cranberry shade and Party Pink is a pink with a very slight coral tinge to it.

e.l.f. Mineral Eyeliner

As I mentioned in the haul post with this eyeliner, the black has a rather hard texture but the navy blue is really really soft. I'm not sure why they are so different. But they both work.

Okay that's all my e.l.f. hauling for a while... oh wait, except for my Christmas e.l.f. which will be along in the next week I guess. But then that will be all my e.l.f. for a while. I did however, make my first Beauty Ticket order tonight because they have 50% off sitewide until 01/01/2011 (Oh that's so weird to write!) with code: NEWYEAR50

I had never been to their site before but I'd heard about it quite a bit. I guess I never really grasped what they were all about though because I was shocked at what a small selection they had. I guess that could also be a result of the great sale going on. Either way, I got like 6 or 7 things and I am so excited for them to arrive.

Now it's off to bed I go. It's like a blizzard outside and my husband&I are driving up to see our families for the holiday tomorrow so we need to get lots of rest :)

Things i LOVE today

i LOVE snow that makes it okay for me to be late for work in the morning


i LOVE kittens that wake me up from my nap by batting at my hair over the arm of the couch


i LOVE the excitement of a day off from work that makes everything after 3:00pm at the office a joke


i LOVE how big the family room is once you take the Christmas tree down


i LOVE my genius sister in law who got the virus off my computer that prevented me from blogging


i LOVE living in a small town where I get to watch escape artist cows run through four feet of snow alongside the highway like they are having the time of their lives


i LOVE the prospect of braving the snow and cold and frozen roads so I can spend a few days hanging out with my family


i LOVE my sweet husband who gets up early every morning and warms up my car, shovels the driveway, and makes me toast with my favorite bread

e.l.f. Haul #9

Hey Everyone, This is my order from Cyber Monday! I think this took like 2 weeks just to process before e.l.f. shipped it out. Luckily I got everything I ordered and nothing was broken when it arrived!

So when you order from their elements you get to choose any combination of eye shadow singles, lip color singles, or face powders. Then you order the compact and you can mix and match and make your own compacts! I'm really only interested in the eye shadow singles.

The compacts are also magnetic so the pans stay in there really well. It was so fun making my own eyeshadow quad. I already had the single in Golden Goddess so I have that in there now.

My all time favorite brush I have ever used.

So I was really excited for this new brush e.l.f. came out with and I got it for like 55% off or whatever the Cyber Monday sale was I hate it! I feel like it's not as tightly packed with bristles as it should be. It seems too loose or flimsy. I don't like how it applies.

I already have this product and just wanted to pick up a backup while they were so cheap.

Annnd... It comes with a pump!

I was so surprised when I took the lid off and there was a pump! The most expensive foundation I own didn't even come with a pump. Thank You e.l.f.! I have only used this twice and haven't decided how I feel about it yet. It's very very creamy which doesn't react well with my oily skin. It gives about medium coverage which when layered with my favorite powder foundation results in the full coverage I prefer. I'm still deciding what I think of it though.

Studio Brush Shampoo

HOORAY! I finally have brush shampoo and I am so excited! I took a picture of the bottle out of it's packaging but for some reason blogger won't let me add anymore pictures to this post. I loove washing my brushes and I can't believe I have used them for so long without washing them! If you don't wash your brushes, I totally recommend you use this!

New Studio Products

Studio Conditioning Lip Balm in Mellow Melon

This product is so smooth. The color is sheer but very pretty. Definitely mellow like the name says.

Studio Cream Eyeshadow in Dawn and Bronzed

These cream eyeshadows are soo smooth and pigmented. I hope they come out with a slate gray and a charcoal black because I think they would be so gorgeous!

Studio Pigment eyeshadow in Magical Maroon, Golden Goddess, and Passionate Purple

Now I promise I shook each eyeshadow the same so I could take a picture of the product but for some reason Passionate Purple came out a ton.

Golden Goddess and Magical Maroon are very shimmery and glittery

Passionate Purple however, is totally different

It's slightly shimmery and the shimmer is actually a bright blue. It's very smooth almost like if it were a matte powder. This eyeshadow is like the perfect medium between matte and shimmer. I don't know why it's different from the other pigments, but I am in love with this color!!

These are all the products I got with this order. I don't know what is going on with Blogger so I am going to have to post the swatches in a separate post tomorrow, I hope you don't mind.
