Hey Everyone, Happy Thursday! I'm so excited for Friday to be here tomorrow. These are all the non-makeup items I bought last month that are still beauty-type products.
Nivea Touch of Smoothness Moisturizing Body Wash
This claims to be Tea Rose Blossom Scent with Almond Essence and I swear I smelled it in Walmart and it smelled good but then I used it in the shower and it smelled weird... I don't know what happened. I still enjoy using it though because it is quite moisturizing. I believe it was $3.97 at Walmart and then I used a $2.00 off coupon. I don't know why their body washes are so much cheaper than their lotions. Is that common for body wash to be cheaper than the same lotion, I'm not sure. Someone let me know because I think it's odd.
ecotools Love Heels All Intensive Heel Cream
OMG, I love this stuff! It's so minty and delicious smelling! I love how it feels on my feet after I get out of the shower. Oh and how cute is this packaging, it's eco-chic :) I believe this was like $5.97 when I bought it at Walmart and I had a $1.50 off coupon from a previous ecotools purchase (which you will see below) making it $4.47.
Pantene Pro-V Medium-Thick hair solutions Silkening Detangler
I'm still on the fence about this product. I bought it because I have pretty thick hair and it is like a mile long these days which makes it get these obnoxious knots at the nape of my neck. I used a detangler the whole time I was growing up but I didn't want to buy some silly bottle meant for the hair of a 5 year old so when I got a $2.00 off any 1 Pantene product I was thrilled to find out they had a detangler for thick hair! What I never realized before is that detangler is pretty much a mild leave-in conditioner. I have leave-in conditioners already, which was annoying. Although I will give it this, having it in a liquid form with a spray top is nice and makes for easier application. The scent is also delicious. It has the nicest light fragrancy smell to it. The biggest issue I have with this product is that it makes my hair feel greasy so much quicker. Usually I can go 2 days without washing my hair but with this stuff in my hair I have to wash it the next day because it makes my hair feel greasy. I thought maybe I was using too much and am still trying to figure out if that's what the issue is. I'm also only spraying it at the nape of my neck instead of combing it through my hair like the bottle suggests. So I haven't completely written this product off, but it's skating thin ice!
got2b Guardian Angel gloss finish Flat Iron Balm (Heat Protectant) & got2b Fat-tastic instant collagen infusion Mega-lift Root Boosting Spray
These were $6.46 each at Rite Aid and I had a $2.00 off coupon for each one. I have been out of a heat protectant for a while and really wanted to try this brand so I chose their Flat Iron Balm. I have also really wanted a Root-Boosting spray. It doesn't give me any more volume than usual however, it does keep the volume all day and my hair doesn't go flat which is nice. The spray top of the root booster is kind of annoying in my opinion. It just makes it harder for me to use. I kind of just wish it was a regular spray top. But if that's all I have to complain about then it must be a pretty good product, right!?
Garnier Nutritioniste Moisture Renew Refreshing Gel-Creme
The Gel-Creme
I love love love this face lotion! It is so light on the skin and it seriously feels like a drink of water but for my skin. I look forward to washing my face or getting out of the shower because it means I get to put this on. I have oily skin so I don't put as much on in the morning because I am always afraid it will make my skin too... moisturized. Lol I'm so weird. But I use it in the mornings as more of a spot treatment for dry-prone areas on my face. It leaves my skin feeling so soft which of course leads my makeup to apply so much smoother, I'm addicted. Because of the unique gel cream formula, the tiniest bit goes such a long way as well. I got this at Walmart for originally $5.97 but I had a $1.00 coupon so it was $4.97!
BiC Soleil Twilight triple blade for women shavers
I needed razors, I had a $2.00 off coupon, and these were pretty which is basically the only reasons I bought these. I have used them before so I knew they worked well but it's not like they are my favorite brand or anything... I actually don't really have a favorite razor come to think of it. Although, want to know something weird, the handles are lavender scented. Of all the weird things to make fragranced, why would they choose the handles of a shaver? With you shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and shaving cream how in the world do they expect you to be able to smell the handle!!?? Ridiculous. Plus it's not even for your face, so it's nowhere near your nose when your using it. Silly BiC...
Skin Essentials Eye Makeup Remover
This is my favorite Eye Makeup Remover! It's just a cheapy brand from Walgreens but I totally love it. It's not oily and it works so well at removing all my eye makeup. I do believe it's a knock off of the L'Oreal makeup remover. I actually bought this once when Walgreens was out of this kind but it was so awfully greasy I returned it and bought this instead! :)
Wet n Wild Pencil Sharpener
I bought this when WnW was 50% off at Walgreens and I had a $5.00 off a $10.00 purchase coupon. It was only $0.50 and I was in need of a new sharpener.
ecoTOOLS 5 bamboo brush set
Cute resealable packaging!
Convenient storage/travel pouch
Complexion Brush
I have an addiction to big fluffy brushes.
Concealer Brush
I actually don't really like concealer brushes, but it was set so there was nothing I could do.
Eyeshadow Brush
The bristles on these brushes are sooo soft. Which is nice but it kind of makes it difficult to use for eyeshadow because I doesn't hold the product very well. It needs a little more texture to it. But it's a pretty brush at least.
Flat Eyeliner Brush
I really like this brush, it works better than the eyeshadow brush but it still has the same issues because the bristles are so extremely soft.
Eyebrow brush/comb
My least favorite part of a brush set. These are just silly and everyone is the same in my opinion. But it's pretty so I won't complain.
I think this set was $8.00 or $9.00 and it came with the $1.50 off coupon I used for my Foot Lotion above. I love bamboo things so I just couldn't pass up this little set. It definitely wasn't necessary, I bought it just for fun, like most of the things I buy lol.
Well that's all I have for now, but I should have an elf order up and a drugstore haul to come as well!
xoxo
