February Favorites

Hey Everyone! Happy March!! Along with everyone else it seems, I can't believe we are already in our 3rd month of 2011! I only have a few favorites from February, I kept things pretty simple all month.

Here we go....

MAKEUP

e.l.f. Mineral Eyeshadow in Elegant

This is my favorite mineral eyeshadow of the 12 I have from e.l.f. It's a smooth and ULTRAshimmery creamish white eyeshadow. I love it for all over my lid, highlight, inner corner, everywhere.

CoverGirl Fresh Complexion pocket powder foundation in 610 classic ivory

I love setting my foundation with a powder foundation. I love the coverage and I love how long lasting it is. This is like my 5th repurchase of this and I actually just bought a replacement for this one last night. It lasts me about 2 months and retails for around $7.00.

eos lip balm in Honeysuckle Honeydew

I have really been relying on my lip balm this month with this freezing cold weather. I always had this with me no matter where I was going. eos lip balm is a staple to my everyday living haha, that sounds so dramatic but I love it!

SKIN CARE

Garnier Nutritioniste Moisture Renew Gel-Cream

I briefly lost my moisturizer at the end of January and my skin lost it's mind and started breaking out and got super dry and was just awful. Since re-purchasing, I'm even more in love with this than I was before. I have found that I need to use more than I was originally applying but a little goes a long way so it doesn't use up the product super fast even when I feel like I'm slathering it on.

Hair

Bath&Body Works Moisturizing Conditioner in Coconut Lime Verbena

I got this product in both shampoo and  the conditioner. Although there is nothing wrong with the shampoo, the conditioner has really been the all star product for me. It has the texture of whipped body butter. I don't think it's a texture everyone will like, but I'm obsessed. I love how thick it is and it makes my hair so so soft when I get out of the shower, not to mention the amazing smell!

Body

With Love by Hilary Duff + Sweet Pea Perfume

As you can recall, I hated the With Love perfume.... on its own. Turns out I quite like it with my sweet pea perfume. I do 1 spritz of With Love and then 2 spritzes of Sweet Pea and I get the perfect balance of sweet&floral with a little muskyness.

NAILS

O.P.I. Nail Polish in Bright Lights Big Color

I know I just barely showed you guys this but I have loved it all month! The color is gorgeous, quality fantastic, and come one, I can't help being excited about my first O.P.I. :)

ACCESSORIES

Flower Stud earrings from Target

Pearl stud with Gold accent from H&M

Yes, that is a mirror image of one stud. I wore them so much... I misplaced one of them. :( They are the first item I have ever had from H&M, I got them from my sister in a set of like 8 studs.

CLOTHING

My favorite clothing combo this month...

White v-necks with cardigans. I loooove them! I have like a billion cardigans from Old Navy and my favorite combo is to throw them over a white v-neck and either a long necklace or a big scarf. It's so comfortable and makes getting dressed so quick. I'm definitely not a morning person and when I have to be to work at 7:30am everyday and have a 30 minute commute, not having to think in the morning is a big help.

Hey Everyone, this is a round up of just about everything I bought in February.

Rite Aid

Wet n Wild Coloricon Trio in Silent Treatment

Although I wasn't able to find the new 8-pan palettes, I did find the new trios. I was surprised this was the only trio to catch my eye and even though I wanted to buy them all just for being new and exciting, I stuck with the only one I would wear. The shadows are as lovely as ever. Exactly what I expect from WnW, soft pigmented smooth long lasting beautiful.

Wet N Wild Fast Dry nail polish in Teal of Fortune

The selection of the new nail polishes was not that great. Teal of Fortune really caught my eye though. It's a gorgeous sparkly shimmery teal. I haven't tried it on yet but something tells me this is going to be sheer.

Wet n Wild Wild Shine nail polish in Night Prowl

Oh my goodness, is this shade new? I didn't think they were coming out with new shades of the Wild Shine line but I have never seen this shade before. It is such a gorgeous sheer black with loads of fine purple glitter. Gahh I love it!

Wet n Wild Wild Shine nail polish in Rain Check

Another I have never seen before. It's nothing super spectacular but it is unique. Silvery bluish lilac. I also think this will be quite sheer and might need at least 2 or 3 coats.

K-Mart

Wet n Wild Fast Dry in Party of Five Glitters

I love all the big chunky glitter polishes coming out lately. This is no exception. The teal, red, pink, silver, green, light blue, purple glitters look fantastic together!

Conair brush&comb set

I was looking at boar bristle brushes and somehow ended up buying this brush which is not boar bristled but just says "great for teasing" on the package. The bristles feel like they could do the job but maybe I should just return it and get one that is actually boar bristles. TBD

Chapstick true shimmer in Tropical

There is quite the story behind this chapstick. It was believed to be limited edition and discontinued. Who would have thought it would be discovered in a K-Mart located in a place called Spanish Fork. crazy.

Ulta

(first ever trip to Ulta I might add)

NYX Jumbo Eye Pencil in Milk

After all the raves about how awesome this is, I couldn't not get it. I haven't tried it in place of my primer but I do love it for my waterline. It wakes my tired eyes right up!

eos lip balm in Honeysuckle Honeydew

Now I have 2 eos lip balms and I love them so much! This scent is a lot sweeter than I was expecting but I do enjoy it.

I also got the Shrek O.P.I. mini set for my sister as part of an

early birthday present.

Sometimes something is just meant for someone

and this is one of those things

I'm really bad at gift giving, not to say I don't like giving gifts, the giving isn't the part I'm bad at it's the picking out something meaningful/thoughtful/awesome.

This was perfect for her.

I felt very happy about giving it to her.

The fact that I hid it in her purse and it took 10 minutes of me asking her for things from her purse before she found it was also fantastic

I got this tiny thing for $1.00. It's their new scent for spring. I'm glad I tried it because I'm absolutely obsessed! So fresh and floral and girly. I love it!!

Bath and Body Works PocketBac hand sanitizer in Dashers Apple Mint

I got this for $0.25. I wish I had gotten 5 of them.

I'm a huge fan of anti-bac!

Bath and Body Works wallflower and refill in Twilight Woods

I got this cute heart wallflower for my bedroom. I chose the Twilight Woods because I have the lotion and it smells so good. Turns out Twilight Woods turned wallflower smells like old ladies. And it is a strong overpowering seeps into your clothes kind of stank. I can smell it the second I open the front door despite the two other wallflowers plugged in and closer to the door. My nose is ever so sightly becoming numbed to the stankiness. I can't wait for it to run out.

One of these will be replacing the Twilight Woods. Not sure which. Haven't smelled either. A little worried after this most recent scent disaster!!

Target

Target brand earrings in ADORABLE!

I love this earring set but the flowers are the whole reason I bought it. They are huge and chunky and understated statements.

I haven't heard a whole lot about this so I'm not sure what to expect

It's supposed to help neutralize discoloration and blotchiness

I put it on after foundation and concealer but before my regular powder.

So my husband and I came across this website called The Something Store.

You make a payment of $10.00 and give them your shipping information.

You don't pay extra for tax or shipping, it's just $10.00

and a few weeks later, your package arrives and you don't know what your getting until you open it

So yes, I paid a website I hadn't heard of to send me something random... seems silly

It definitely takes some faith in them that they won't just take your money and run

but it was so exciting.

They sent me this really cute&simple necklace

 

I got this necklace in December but realized I never showed you guys.

I'm absolutely obsessed with this necklace. It's my only "statement" type necklace.

Walmart

Garnier Nutrioniste Moisture Renew Refreshing gel-cream

I lost my moisturizer when I went to Arizona and was so sad about it considering I practically had a full jar. My face is so happy to be using this again. I didn't realize what an amazing difference it makes on my skin.

Conair self-grip rollers, 31 ct

These were kind of an impulse buy, but at the same time I have always wanted to try them.

I think they will be great for really soft understated curls and volumizing my roots.

Baby Phat Dare Me perfume, 0.5oz

This was originally $10.00 but I had a $5.00 off coupon so of course I couldn't pass it up. I'm glad I didn't, it smells so good! I have another $5.00 off coupon, I might just have to go buy a bigger bottle.

Secret Scent Expressions deodorant in Fabulously Floral

This is one of those gel deodorants which are hard to get used to at first when you are used to the regular stick form but I love the scent and it works really well. 

 

New Wallet! (and from Walmart, WHAT!?)

I was in desperate need of a new wallet and this jumped out at me as I was walking past this section of the store. I love the color and it has tons of storage.

Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear nail color in Mint Sorbet

I gave up on getting the e.l.f. mint green nail polish. When I think about it though, this was $1.00 more but probably 3x better. The color is so pretty, I absolutely love it. I think my next nail polish quest will be to find a Tiffany blue.

 

Equate makeup remover wipes

So these are the Walmart brand makeup wipes. I tried the exfoliating ones this time. I'm not sure how I feel about them yet. They work fine as far as removing my face makeup (I don't use them on my eyes) but I'm not sure yet if they are actually exfoliating. We will see.
