Hey Everyone!
This is my first post and since E.L.F. is my favorite cosmetic brand I thought I would start by reviewing products I have purchased from their site. I don't have a great camera so I am going to use a combination of picture I have taken and pictures from their website.
I had heard about E.L.F. through blogs, YouTube, and magazines but I finally decided to make my first purchase when I received a coupon for a free makeup palette with any purchase. For anyone who hasn't visited their site yet, check it out!! Everything is between $1.00 and $8.00 and there is always a sale going on so look for coupon codes before you buy! Be advised, you can only use 1 coupon per purchase but their prices are already so great that 1 coupon is enough.
Now on with the review!
First up is the Brightening Eye Color eyeshadow quad in Ethereal. $1.00
I ordered this eyeshadow because I loved these four colors and I thought they would make a really nice natural smokey look. And on the plus side this picture is a prefect representation of how the colors look in person, so props to E.L.F. for that. But that's it. The colors have so little pigmentation I was sooo disappointed. I tried making it work. I layered and layered the colors, but I eventually ended up giving it to my mom who likes to put makeup on but not actually be able to see it. I have heard some of the other quads are more pigmented though, so definitely check those out.

Next up, Luscious Liquid Lipstick in Baby Lips. $1.00
Oh my, can I just tell you how much I lovelovelove this product! It's a long lasting, non-sticky, perfectly pigmented gloss. Baby Lips is a perfect pinky nude gloss that goes perfectly well over a lipstick or by itself. I recommend this to everyone. Color, texture, and quality are all more than I ever thought I could find from a $1.00 product. Please if you are looking for a lip product, give this a chance!
And Finally, the whole reason I made the purchase. The 27 pc. Mini Makeup Collection. $15.00
This comes with 1 creme eyeshadow shade, 9 powder eyeshadow shades, 1 blush, 1 bronzer, 1 brow powder, 10 lipgloss shades, 1 eyeliner pencil, 1 face brush, 1 lip brush, and 1 dual ended eyeshadow applicator. Oh and 1 giant mirror!
Now what better way to find out if you like a company than to try a little bit of everything they have, and for free. Yeah, that's right. The coupon I used gave me everything listed above for free! Now I really hate all kinds of products in one package like this because the powder products cover the glossy products and the whole thing becomes a big mess. But if your careful these are GREAT products. The 3 gray/black eyeshadows make a gorgeous smokey eye. The browns are such rich bronzy shades. All the shadows are soo pigmented. (Thank goodness after the Brightening Eye Color disaster) They have great staying power as well. I was really impressed with the glosses too. Most of the colors are too dark for me, but the nudes and pinks are what got me hooked on lipstick. I haven't used the brow powder but the blush and bronzer are amazing! They are perfect for contouring and the blush is the perfect everyday pink color. The brushes included in it are super cheap and of poor quality but that's to be expected. (However, don't expect that from ANY of their other brushes. Their actual line of brushes is of top quality.)
So that was first E.L.F. haul, I hope you saw something that interested you. If nothing else, try that Mini Makeup Collection, you will fall in love with the brand!
